Wart Removal
How We Treat Them
Warts are non-cancerous skin growths caused by the Human Papillomavirus (HPV). The virus enters the skin through tiny cuts or abrasions and triggers rapid cell growth on the outer skin layer. Though generally harmless, warts can be uncomfortable, persistent, and spread to other areas of the body or to other people through skin contact.
At Derma Skin Clinic, our dermatologists assess each case individually and apply the most effective removal method — whether cryotherapy (liquid nitrogen freezing) or electrocautery.
Diagnosis & Skin Assessment
We use cryotherapy (liquid nitrogen) to freeze and destroy the wart tissue, or electrocautery to burn it away precisely. The method is chosen based on wart size, depth, and location.
Targeted Treatment
The device glides across the skin, delivering up to 1,300 micro-channels per second for uniform coverage.
Aftercare Guidance
Following treatment, Derma Skin Clinic provides clear aftercare instructions to keep the area clean and protected. A mild dressing may be applied. Most patients return to normal activities the same day.
Healing & Results
The treated site heals within 1–3 weeks. The dead tissue naturally falls off, revealing clear skin underneath. Follow-up sessions are available for stubborn or recurring warts.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does wart removal hurt?
Does wart removal hurt?
We apply a topical numbing cream before every procedure, so most patients experience very little pain. During cryotherapy you may feel a brief cold, stinging sensation, and with electrocautery a mild warmth. Any discomfort is short-lived and well-tolerated.
How long does the procedure take?
How long does the procedure take?
Most wart removal sessions take between 10 and 30 minutes depending on the number, size, and location of warts being treated. You can walk in, get treated, and be on your way the same day.
Will the wart come back after removal?
Will the wart come back after removal?
When treated correctly, the chances of recurrence are low. However, because warts are caused by HPV — a virus that can remain dormant in the skin — there is always a small possibility of regrowth. Our dermatologists remove the wart at its root to reduce this risk as much as possible.
How many sessions will I need?
How many sessions will I need?
Many warts clear after a single session. Larger, deeper, or more stubborn warts — particularly plantar warts on the feet — may require 2 to 3 sessions spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart for complete removal.
Is wart removal safe for children?
Is wart removal safe for children?
Yes, wart removal is safe for children. Our dermatologists take extra care with younger patients and adjust the treatment approach to ensure their comfort throughout the procedure.
