CCTV POLICY

Introduction
Derma Skin Clinic operates a closed-circuit television (CCTV) surveillance system on its premises for the purpose of maintaining the safety and security of our patients, staff, and property. This policy outlines how we collect, store, and manage CCTV footage in accordance with the laws of Uganda and our registration with the Personal Data Protection Office of Uganda.
Camera Locations
CCTV cameras are installed in the following areas:
- Reception area
No cameras are installed in treatment rooms, consultation rooms, or any other private areas. We are fully committed to protecting the privacy and dignity of our patients at all times.
Purpose of CCTV Surveillance
CCTV footage is collected for the following purposes:
- Ensuring the safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors.
- Protecting clinic property and assets.
- Deterring and detecting unauthorised access or criminal activity.
- Supporting investigations where an incident has occurred on the premises.
Storage of Footage
CCTV footage recorded at Derma Skin Clinic is retained permanently. Footage is stored securely and access is strictly controlled to prevent unauthorised viewing, copying, or tampering.
Access to Footage
Access to CCTV footage is restricted to:
- Clinic management
- Authorised security personnel
Footage will only be shared with third parties, including law enforcement agencies, where required by law or where there is a legitimate legal basis to do so.
Your Rights
As a patient or visitor to our clinic, you have the right to:
- Be informed that CCTV surveillance is in operation on our premises.
- Request access to footage in which you appear, subject to verification of identity and applicable legal provisions.
- Request the deletion of footage in which you appear, where legally permissible.

Data Protection
Derma Skin Clinic is registered with the Personal Data Protection Office of Uganda. All CCTV data is handled in accordance with the Data Protection and Privacy Act of Uganda.
